Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey are first and foremost Inventors. It is the inventing of new solutions and the expanding of horological knowledge which drives the team at Greubel Forsey. The resulting exquisitely finished timepieces are validations of the underlying fundamental inventions they develop.
EWT®, for Experimental Watch Technology, is Greubel Forsey' proprietary research and development platform: unique in the field of haute horlogerie. At the core of the system, a fully-fledged laboratory enables Greubel Forsey to experiment, test and ratify.
The comprehensively equipped Atelier allows Greubel Forsey to manufacture virtually every type of component. This facility provides a very high degree of flexibility; an asset especially valuable at the prototyping stage where it allows new constructions to be quickly and continually improved.
Two inventions are presently progressing through the EWT® pipeline: the Quadruple Tourbillon à Différentiel Sphérique, eXpermental watch®, featuring four tourbillons connected by a spherical differential, and an all new 4th Invention.
