Although Greubel Forsey’s horological inventions are high-performance technical achievements, fine art is every bit as important as fine craft. Every single piece making up the movements is meticulously hand-finished using traditional methods.
On the DT30°, bright mirror-polished steel contrasts with the frosted jade-gold finish of the plates and bridges.
Each component has its own distinctive lustre and decoration: snailed finish for the barrels, circular graining on the main plate, mirror-polished pinions, polished hand-bevelling of the edges, flame-blued screws with bevelled and polished heads, pierced and hand-bevelled pillars and polished gold chatons for the domed and olived jewels. All in harmony and perfection.
