GMT Earth

The ground-breaking spirit that is a hallmark of Greubel Forsey is particularly evident in this timepiece. It incorporates a globe to make three time zone displays visible. By reproducing the Earth's rotation in real time, this timepiece offers an intuitive view of time all over the world and a day/night indication. With this creation, Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey totally reinterpreted the very notion of the GMT as a watchmaking complication.

Différentiel d'Égalité

After years of research and development, Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey are especially proud to present a timepiece that contains their 5th Fundamental Invention: the Différentiel d’Égalité. It ensures a regulated driving force and improves the accuracy of the timing performance. It is also the first time that Greubel Forsey has integrated a dead-beat second in one of its timepieces.

Double Balancier

Optimising timekeeping as an alternative to the tourbillon, two inclined balance wheels are coupled to a Différentiel Sphérique Constant, which provides a more steady amplitude. Aesthetically, this timepiece catches the eye with its opening wide to the heart of the mechanism.

QP à Équation

Greubel Forsey reinterprets the Perpetual Calendar with Equation of Time. To this effect, a mechanical computer had been created, which manages all the changes in the displays. The dial side mainly shows the 24 hours of the day and night, the day of the week, the large date, the month, the hours and the minutes; the movement side shows the equation of time and the seasons and the year.

Balancier

The “Balancier” perfectly embodies our fundamental principles. Every detail of the “Balancier” carries the unmistakable stamp of a true Greubel Forsey timepiece – the watchmaking Maison’s values are manifest in the refinement and purity of its lines and dial, the inventive architecture of its balance wheel, the sharp profile of its hands, and the engraving on the reverse of the timepiece.

Grande Sonnerie

Eleven years of research and development. The assembly of no fewer than 935 parts. The filing of two patents. The development of an acoustic resonance cage producing an extremely pure sound. The incorporation of eleven security functions ensuring maximum peace of mind... These few elements alone give an idea of the magnitude of the almost gargantuan task of creating the Greubel Forsey Grande Sonnerie.

Tourbillon 24 Secondes

The Tourbillon 24 Secondes uses a fast rotational speed and inclined angle to solve the problem of critical positions of the oscillator in relation to gravity. The 25° angle and the rapid revolution of the tourbillon cage significantly improves the chronometric performance of a system containing only one tourbillon, especially in static positions.

Signature 1

The Signature 1 was imagined by Didier Cretin, a longtime team member at Greubel Forsey. For the first time in the history of our company, he has created a manually wound timepiece with three hands, without a tourbillon function, which instead features an exclusively designed Greubel Forsey balance wheel.

GMT

The GMT displays a spinning globe as a real-time reproduction of the Earth’s rotation. It offers an intuitive view of time all over the world as well as a day/night indication. A lateral window also floods the globe with light to symbolize daytime and reveals more of the southern hemisphere. This timepiece features the Tourbillon 24 Secondes and displays its information on various dials and sectors.

Double Tourbillon 30°

Inside a cage which rotates in four minutes, an interior cage containing the balance wheel is inclined at a 30 degree angle relative to the first cage, which rotates in sixty seconds. The combination of the 30° inclination with the different rotational speeds of the two tourbillion cages improves timekeeping by averaging out positional errors due to gravity in all usual wristwatch positions, and especially in static positions.

Quadruple Tourbillon

Each of the four tourbillons connected to a spherical differential independently contributes to obtain a precise and reliable timing rate, especially in static positions. The spherical differential transmits the average timing rate of the four tourbillons, thus improving the chronometric performance from all the regulating organs.

Art Pieces

The initial impulse that gave rise to the Art Piece Collection was generated by a desire to create points of convergence between the world of plastic arts and that of the art of watchmaking. This is a ground-breaking new zone of expression that Greubel Forsey intends to share with artists whose aesthetic language is in resonance with its own universe
