Their workshop is crucial to Greubel Forsey’s assiduous development process and demonstrate how EWT® functions. The design team convert Robert and Stephen’s initial ideas into digitized working plans, these evolve into complex 3D simulations, which are then used to resolve the majority of technical issues in this preliminary phase.
Sophisticated machines in the micro-mechanics workshop craft the majority of components, the prototyping department constructs working models - rigorously tested in the laboratory - and constant improvements are made until the team is completely satisfied with technical performance and the concept is validated.
New components for the production timepieces are machined from raw materials and meticulously hand-finished before the dexterous watchmakers assemble and test the complicated mechanisms.
