Although Greubel Forsey's horological inventions are high-performance technical achievements, fine art is as an important element in their composition as fine craft. Every single piece making up the movements is meticulously hand-finished using traditional methods.

Scintillating mirror-polished steel is highlighted against the frosted jade-gold finish of the plates and bridges. Each component has its own  distinctive luster and decoration: snail finish for the barrels, circular graining on the main plate, mirror-polished pinions, hand-bevelling of the edges, blued-steel screws with bevelled and polished heads, pierced and hand-bevelled pillars and polished gold chatons for the domed and olived jewels. All  in harmony and perfection.

Fastidious attention to  detail ensures that each and every part is a work of art in its own right and in achieving the delicate balance between all elements to produce an exquisitely beautiful timepiece that Greubel Forsey displays mastery of the fine Art of Finishing.
